Gymboree Play & Music, 26 Applegate Street, of Red Bank has been teaching moms and children since 1985. We are a world renowned program with nationwide and international locations. Our programs are developed for children newborn - 5 yrs to help them develop social skills, build self-confidence, self-esteem, build the key social, emotional and intellectual skills needed for school and life with specially designed school skills classes for preschool children ages 3-5.
This article will focus on our Play & Learn Classes which are broken into smaller age groups by creating Levels 1-6.
Level 1, for ages up to 6 months, explores the senses and supports visual and auditory development with tummy time, flashlight play, first songs and more. This baby class includes parent discussion time to help learn about your child's development.
Level 2, for 6 to 10 months old, helps your child learn about cause and effect and build strength through play with ramps, slides and climbers. This baby class includes parent discussion time to help learn about your child's development.
Level 3, for 10 to 16 months old, enables you to explore two-way communication with your child. Play environments encourage discovery, balance and coordination as parents learn to understand how their infant interacts and communicates with them and the world.
Level 4, for 16 to 22 months old, helps your child figure out how the world works and become a competent problem solver through games that uncover patterns and sequences. This class is suitable for toddlers.
Level 5, for 22 to 28 months old, stretches the imagination through creative play to support symbolic thinking, language development and social interaction. This class is suitable for toddlers.
Level 6, for 28 to 36 months old, allows your child to play both independently and with peers while learning to connect ideas through cooperation and communication. This class is suitable for toddlers.
Gymboree of Red Bank's Play & Learn Classes meet at various times throughout the week, so please check the full calendar here to find one that best suits your needs. The cost is $59 per month. Enrollment in the Play & Learn class also entitles you to three open play gyms each week. Those open play gyms take place on Tuesdays from 1:20-2:20pm., Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30pm, and Fridays from 3:30-5:00pm.
