Macaroni Kid May Musings
For those who have children that have never taken swim lessons before, take advantage of this fabulous deal from The Community YMCA. Learn to Swim week has time slots available for kids of all ages from 6 months through Teens and even Adults 18+ to learn water safety basics and have basic swim lessons for five days in a row this June. It's been a long winter for some of us in northern climates, but it looks like it's finally spring and time to get ready for outdoor activities.

Homemade Musical Instruments
Make your own rain stick and tambourine!
- Toilet paper roll for rain stick
- 2 paper plates for tambourine
- Construction paper
- Tape (wide, packaging tape is easiest)
- Beans or rice
- Yarn, string, or ribbon
- Decorative materials (foam shapes, scrap paper, markers, etc.)
- Fill the paper towel roll or toilet paper roll with some rice.
- Wrap 1 piece of construction paper around toilet paper roll, making sure both ends are well covered.
- Place tape over any seams.
- Decorate!
- Put rice on one plate.
- Place the second plate over the first ...
