This article will focus on our Music Class. Did you know that children develop a musical ear by the time they are 3 years old? If the children are exposed to different types of music, they will also show a like or dislike for certain styles of music. Discover melody, pitch and rhythm while building a repertoire of joyful songs in our music classes. Our musical styles range from Latin to Broadway to Northwest Isles. We rotate to new musical styles every three weeks. Children have an opportunity to hear the music the first week, to become familiar with it the second week, and the third week they can feel confident about the new types of songs and music that they hear during class.
Music is a natural expression of yourself. You can express happiness, joy, sadness, relaxation. Asking children to move to the music puts them in charge of themselves. It is always correct. There is no right or wrong way to express what you feel in a song. Music encourages listening skills, following through with directions, and it offers a lifetime of love for music. Gymboree's music class meets every Friday from 10:30-11:15am or 11:20-12:05pm and is for 6 month olds - 5 yr olds. The cost is $59 per month.

Enrollment in the Music class also entitles you to three open play gyms each week. Those open play gyms take place on Tuesdays from 1:20-2:20pm., Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30pm, and Fridays from 3:30-5:00pm.
