Exciting Fall Events at Field Station: Dinosaurs

Giveaway: Family Four Pack of Admission Tickets

By Stacey Jones September 2, 2013
Fall may be upon us, but Field Station: Dinosaurs has plenty of fun in store this season for your family.  If you've missed our previous Road Trip articles, Field Station: Dinosaurs is a 20-acre outdoor Jurassic expedition in Secaucus, NJ where explorers can come face-to-face with a living, breathing 15-foot Mighty T-Rex, wander among 32 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs, feed the baby Hadrosaurus, participate in dozens of scientific shows and games, and see Dinosaurs Alive!, a new 3D movie.

Field Station: Dinosaurs is open to the public September 7th-29th on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.   In addition to their regularly scheduled programming, Field Station: Dinosaurs presents the following special events:

Careers in Science Day (Sat., Sept. 7):
Field Station celebrates its hero, the scientist, every day, and especially this day, by welcoming scientists of all types to talk about their work. Whether you've an eye toward a scientific future or just a healthy curiosity, this is the weekend for you.

Dinosaurs after Dark (all Saturday nights beginning Sept. 7)
Explore the dark woods and haunted trails of Snake Hill. Flashlight tours, spooky stories, and the Dinosaur Dance Party are just part of the nighttime adventure that’s back by popular demand.

Puppetry Weekend (Sat. and Sun. Sept. 14 and 15):
Join renowned puppeteer Noel MacNeal (Bear of Bear in the Big Blue House) and other Field Station puppeteers for a weekend behind the scenes. Explore puppet making, puppeteering, and Field Station’s own dinosaur puppets.

Scout Day (Sat., Sept. 21):
Bugs, lizards and birds are the stars on Scout Day. Kids learn from the experts about weather, mapping, and camping. They will even learn how to bake cookies in a cardboard box oven.
Scouts in uniform will receive a 10 percent discount, and participating scouts will earn a Field Station: Dinosaurs commemorative patch.

Hudson County Day (Sat., Sept. 28):
Hudson County residents with a photo ID will receive a 10 percent discount on day passes  purchased for Sat., Sept. 28.
