Description
Allaire Community Farm, a nonprofit animal rescue and working farm dedicated to healing through nature, in collaboration with Monmouth County’s Children’s Interagency Coordinating Council, will host its 9th Annual Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day on Saturday, May 17, from 5–8 p.m.
This free, family-friendly event is designed to raise awareness about children’s mental health and connect local families to the resources and support they need. Representatives from more than 40 community agencies will be onsite to provide guidance, answer questions, and offer information about services related to mental and emotional well-being, developmental disabilities, and substance use support.
“We’re honored to provide a space where families can come together, feel supported, and leave with new tools to care for their children’s emotional well-being,” said JoAnn Burney, co-founder of Allaire Community Farm. “Mental health matters, and so does knowing that you’re not alone.”
In addition to meeting with service providers, attendees will enjoy:
· The farm’s petting zoo
· Train and tractor rides
· Games, giveaways, and interactive family activities
· Food and refreshments donated by generous local vendors
Admission is free, and advance registration is encouraged.
