Description
So, join us “ON THE FRONT PORCH." Bring your lawn chair and hang-out with us on the front lawn of the T. Thomas Fortune Cultural Center. We’ll listen to Frederick Douglass’ fiery speech: “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July” revisited today to remind us of the American values of liberty and justice for all, and as a
community we can make these values ring true for everyone. We'll also play some oldies but goodies and enjoy hamburgers & hot dogs hot off the grill with the fixings. A community mix & mingle and FREE EVENT! The newly restored T. Thomas Fortune Cultural Center is former home of the prominent African American journalist, T. Thomas Fortune.
