1. Pond Netting at Murray Pond: May 21st 10:00 a.m.
Find what's at the bottom of the Murray Pond. Look for frogs, turtles, and snakes. Use our nets to catch tadpoles, fish, insect larvae, snails, and other critters. Dress to get muddy! Pre-K morning sessions will have some critters pre-fished for exploration, an easy netting opportunity, a visit from our resident tortoise Chaser, and a story.
2. Movies on the Turf: Grown Ups: May 21st 7:30 p.m.
Movies on the Turf at the Middletown Sports Complex. We recommend you bring your own chair. This week's showing is Grown Ups. Enjoy a fun movie night with the family. All ages welcome.
3. Open Shoot Archery: May 22nd from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Take a shot at archery! Stop in anytime during open shoot archery to improve your archery skills at our indoor range at the Thompson Park Activity Barn. This is not a beginner instructional program. If you are new to archery, register for one of our instructional “Take a Shot” classes prior to attending .Please dress for the weather as the Activity Barn is not heated. All equipment is provided. Ages 10+.
4. Outdoor Mini Book Sale - $5 Bag O'Books - Colts Neck: May 22nd from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Join the Colts Neck Friends of the Library at their mini book sale outdoors in front of the library. Free admission and fill their bag or your bag OK'd by cashier for $5. COVID protocols will be followed - masks required.
5. Goat Yoga for Ages 15+: May 22nd at 12 p.m.
Goat Yoga for ages 15+. Please bring a mask, a yoga mat and/or towel, and bottle of water. Please be aware -- This event may take place indoors or outdoors depending on capacity limits and regulations, as well as weather permitting. *No children under 15 years old* Multiple session choices beginning at 12pm.
6. PT Barnum at Allaire: May 22nd at 7:30 p.m.
Neill Hartley portrays master showman P.T. Barnum in this exciting and entertaining look at one of the most colorful and well-known personalities of all time, who brought high and low culture to all of America. Following the performance, there is a short informational section about the history of the circus, and of P.T Barnum’s life outside of the entertainment world, including a short reading from his book “The Art of Money Getting”. A question and answer will conclude the presentation. All are welcome.
