All aboard! Thomas the Tank Engine invites little engineers to go full steam ahead for a day of engaging activities and fun adventures at Day Out With Thomas 2020. Children are invited to spend the day with their friend Thomas when the #1 Engine pulls into Phillipsburg, New Jersey on August 28, 29, and 30th. They will be selling the rides to 50% capacity to increase social distancing on these trips.
Day Out With Thomas is a family event that offers children and their grownups the opportunity to ride with classic storybook friend Thomas the Tank Engine . The Day Out With Thomas experience will engineer miles of smiles for the whole family and introduce a new generation to the timeless excitement of railroading. Parents, grandparents and siblings join their aspiring engineers in the fun.
Train rides with Thomas depart every 60 minutes, rain or shine. Departure times begin at 10:00 am through 5:00 pm each day of the event. The trips pulled by Thomas take you along the beautiful Delaware River to North Carpentersville New Jersey, a 25 minute ride. Day Out With Thomas is a fun-filled event that provides children of all ages the opportunity to climb aboard and take a ride with Thomas as well as participate in Thomas & Friends™ themed activities
Thomas trips leave 10:00am,11:00am,12:00 noon, 1:00pm,2:00pm,3:00pm,4:00pm,5:00pm
Adult & Child $21.00 for full site access with all events included. Mine Train is extra. Children under 2 are free.
Thomas train ride is 25 Minutes and each child receives a Jr. Engineer Certificate!
The Mine Train trip is 2.0 hours in duration, 30 minutes in each direction and one hour mining for gems at the mine.

- Should requirements be relaxed, we may issue more tickets, this will come from government guidance.
- SHOULD TRIPS NOT OPERATE DUE TO GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN AMID AN EXTENDED COVID-19 PANDEMIC, TRIPS WILL BE REFUNDABLE

For an added adventure take the River Train to the Ol' Susquehanna Mine , enjoy the animated Mine Shaft Explosion, History, and learn how to pan for Gem Stones that you can take home! The River Train pulled by our STEAM locomotive #142 follows the same route journeying further along the river to Edingers with a brief stop at the "Old Susquehanna" gem stone mine. At the mine you may get off , visit the mine and learn how to pan for gems. Each passenger receives a bag of mine tiling's , a brief history of the mine and use of the sluice to prospect for their very own gem stones they can bring home! Trains to and from the mine depart every hour. Stay at the mine as little as an hour or as long as you'd like to stay. Experience the exploding mine shaft tour-- its a hoot!
You may purchase tickets the day of the event for all trains. However, we advise that you purchase your tickets in advance.
There is so much to do you can spend the whole day! Enjoy our two inflatable's. We have a 40 foot inflatable obstacle course and an inflatable MOO Cow! In the Imagination Station enjoy Thomas coloring, Thomas and Friends Stamps, temporary tattoos, Mega Blocks, Thomas Videos, Story Telling, Spin Art, and a meet and Greet with Sir Topham Hat. Enjoy the amazing Juggler Jeff Peden, Ventriloquist Scott Wagstaff & His Zany Animals, and the Grand Master Band Wagon.
