We were invited to Six Flags Great Adventure to check out the all-new 4D action-packed JUSTICE LEAGUE: Battle for Metropolis ride. In a high-stakes clash between good and evil, we were able to become members of the Justice League Reserve team and engage in a full-sensory journey to save the city of Metropolis as we battled alongside DC Super Heroes Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Supergirl and Cyborg against Super Villains Lex Luthor and The Joker.
The adventure begins as you walk up to the amazing Hall of Justice building inside the park. It looks fantastic and easily transports fans back to adventures with the Super Friends.
Once inside, an amazing statue of the founding fathers of the Justice League, namely Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman (also known as the Trinity) greets you as you enter the building.
As you move through the line queue, for anyone not familiar with their superheroes, there are plaques on the wall giving details on the various characters featured in the ride.
Once you grab your 3D glasses, you pass by the cyborg and board the ride for an amazing experience!
JUSTICE LEAGUE: Battle for Metropolis features wind, fire, mist and fog effects and life-like animatronic characters alongside 3D animation, all while you twist, tilt and spin through hairpin, 360-degree turns. The entire adventure is synched to the action on the screens and the rider is filled with anticipation at each turn as you are immersed in the city of Metropolis. For the gamers in your family, there are over six hundred virtual and tangible targets inside, and the competition is sure to ensue as you collect points for each villain you help to take down during the ride.
Our whole family found this new ride quite exciting and fun! We were very immersed in the experience and fascinated that they even managed to incorporate virtual loop and barrel roll during the ride that gives you a head-over-heels feeling. Long-time fans of the superheroes will marvel in the details that bring the Hall of Justice and your experience in Metropolis to life. It was fun to battle each other and gain points to help the DC Super Heroes take back Metropolis from the Villians. With the height requirement to ride at 42 inches, it's perfect for the whole family to enjoy together. We highly recommend this new ride experience at Six Flags Great Adventure, so make sure to add it to your summer to-do list with your family this year!
