By Stacey Jones April 2, 2017

Brookdale Camps-On-Campus offer unique college campus experiences. Melissa Rauch, famed actor who stars in The Big Bang, attended Brookdale camps for many summers. “That’s where I got one of my first laughs on stage and I was hooked”, she reported to NJ.com.

What new camp experience will your child get hooked on? Brookdale Community College’s Camps-on- Campus program offers an expansive variety of week-long programs for children in grades 2-11. From fine arts to physics, Brookdale boasts an innovative menu of unique experiences you won’t find elsewhere.

Is there a child in your life who wants to be a veterinarian one day? A movie director, fashion designer, history teacher, engineer, actor, video game creator or writer? 2017 will deliver some impressive new programs to compliment long-time favorites like Day in Court, Young Writers, Money Camp and Journey to Veterinary Careers. Drone camps will be introduced this year as well as new explorations in history – from political debates to a Mock JFK assassination trial. Acting for TV and expanded Ocean Adventures are also new.

And why not make a video game instead of playing one? Camps-on- Campus features several new digital arts programs including App Attack, Minecraft Designers, Virtual Reality and Star Wars Stop Animation.

Would your middle school student like to explore Biotech or High Tech high schools? Why not take advantage of unique summer camp programs at the MCVSD locations offered through partnership with Brookdale.

Or, give your high school student the chance to spend a few hours finding out what it really means to study subjects like Auto Tech, Engineering or Culinary Arts.

(Can’t wait until summer? Brookdale is offering two spring break programs during the week of April 10th. )

Most programs run Monday through Friday, 9am-2pm. Several Digital Arts programs (including Star Wars animation) are offered in the afternoon (2:30pm-5:30pm). Before-care (7:30am-9:00am) and After-care (2:00pm-6:00pm) is available.

Make this a season to discover new interests. Keep young minds active and curiosity piqued.

Give your child the best summer ever.
