Macaroni Kid Premiere Party- Sofia The First:The Curse of Princess Ivy

Exciting Times for Princesses & Princes at our Premiere Party at Tinton Falls Cooperative Preschool

This week, Macaroni Kid teamed up with our sponsor Tinton Falls Cooperative Preschool to throw an exciting Princess Premiere Party to celebrate the release of Sofia the First: The Curse of Princess Ivy.

The girls and boys in attendance were thrilled to dress up and become Princesses & Princes for the celebration.  They enjoyed creating butterfly hair clips and decorating with Sofia the First stickers before collecting some snacks and sitting down for the movie premiere. The movie itself, Sofia the First: The Curse of Princess Ivy, was approximately 45 minutes in length. Taking place in Enchancia, the story unfolds with Sofia and her sister Amber together.  When Amber takes Sofia's amulet without permission to get her own turn at summoning a princess, Princess Ivy arrives in Enchancia and begins to turn everything black and white with her special butterflies.

Quickly, the sisters realize that Princess Ivy is evil and that she is trying to take over Enchancia.  Sofia and Amber must come together and defeat Princess Ivy, but all of their early attempts to do so seem to fail.  We encounter some very musical segments in the movie, including an a cappella group of dragons!  One of our party princesses in attendance even got up to bop around a bit to the song the dragons were singing.  A special guest finally appears in the movie, namely Rapunzel, to help Sofia and Amber rescue the kingdom of Enchancia.  To see all of the exciting details and learn whether the royal sisters are able to succeed on their mission, be sure to tune in and enjoy Sofia the First: The Curse of Princess Ivy with your family when it airs this Sunday night, November 23 at 7pm/6c on Disney Channel.  When we asked our young guests how they enjoyed the movie, one of the little princesses summed it up when she shouted in response, "That was awesome!"

Here are a couple of images from the fun festivities at our premiere party, but you can also view all of the candid action shots from our event at this link.
