We had the chance to enjoy an exclusive sneak peak of the exciting new DreamWorks series, Dragons: Race to the Edge, coming to Netflix this Friday, June 26th.  Based on the DreamWorks hit, How to Train Your Dragon, the new series is action-packed, full of wit, and drives home the important lesson of teamwork.

In the new Netflix original series Dragons: Race to the Edge, the series starts off in full swing with an action packed, dramatic prison break by the villainous Dugar. Hiccup and Toothless are led to a new island called Dragon's Edge by the Dragon Eye, an ancient artifact filled with secrets that will lead them to new lands filled with undiscovered dragons. But the heroes find themselves pursued by marauding dragonhunters, who will stop at nothing to seize the power of the Dragon Eye.

The kids were very receptive to the bond between the Dragons, dragon riders, and their "team" in Dragons: Race to the Edge.  This series differs from the How to Train Your Dragon movies in that each episode doesn't reach full conclusion and closure of events by the end, and you must watch on to see the resolution of the issue at hand. Plus, there are many new dragons introduced during the episodes that add excitement to the storyline.  Deathsong, a massive, neverbefore-seen dragon that threatens to trap them forever, is only one of these.  There is an island filled with a mysterious breed of dragons for them to figure out as well.

Dragons: Race to the Edge offers an engaging view into learning how Hiccup grew out of the shy nature you saw in How to Train Your Dragon 1 into the confidence you saw in the second movie.  It helps bridge the gap in the storyline and offers exciting and engaging episodes that will have your kids hooked!  Dragon fans all over will be thrilled to have the additional insight offered in this action-packed series.  All thirteen episodes of Dragons: Race to the Edge will be available exclusively on Netflix this Friday, June 26th.
